Overdue update

It's been a while since my last post. Sorry for those who check daily for some sort of update. Mackenzie got sick on Thanksgiving with a nasty flu like virus and infection in her throat. It was an extremely exhausting weekend...especially since I was just getting over an emergency root canal that left me in pain that I swear was worse than labor. Tooth pain in the worst! So now we just have a hoarse, cranky little girl and the two of us are supposed to fly to WI Thursday morning. Say a prayer I don't jump out of the plane! Haha. Hopefully she's at least good for the plane ride...I cannot even begin to express the anxiety I'm starting to feel about this trip. We picked out a tree and got the house feeling all festive. Brian e-mailed pics to several people so some of you may have already seen it. Being our first year in a house I wanted a BIG tree and we agreed on an 8 footer. Or at least our budget settled on the 8 foot. It's a beautiful tree. The only thing that would make it better is being able to put ornaments on the entire tree, but it's cute having the "Mackenzie cut-off line". She's done well so far behaving fairly well with the tree. Here is a "catch-up" of some pictures. Enjoy...and if you don't hear from me in a week or so...you know I didn't survive the trip to WI.

Thanksgiving dinner @ Maggiano's. Mommy is NOT smiling because Mackenzie was flinging milk and spaghetti all over. This was the rare moment she was not crying and fussing in the restaurant. I swear everyone else's children were being angels!
One of the gentlemen at the Christmas tree farm had this funny Santa hanging off the back of his truck. I just had to take a picture! After picking out our tree, we enjoyed free hot cocoa and a fire while he tied the tree to the truck. How awesome is that!

Mackenzie's marshmallow peeps coat. It practically swallows her up but it's so cute and warm. She falls and doesn't even cry because of all the padding.

Mackenzie hadn't eaten in 4 days from being sick. After decorating the tree I made some Mac-n-cheese and apparently she'd been starving and couldn't get enough! She's so funny when she's not crying!
