Sorry I haven't posted much the past two weeks. Mackenzie has been teething which means the red-head spitfire attitude has been going strong and it's taken all my will power to make it through the day. I told my mom too that there will be no pictures of those moments because those are times I care not to remember! LOL Pregnant mommies do not appreciate days chasing toddlers and not having a nap! She now has two little teeth on the bottom but more are coming. She's forever drooling and gnawing on things. She had her one year follow-up though on her kidneys. Thank you for all who prayed, our prayers have been answered. She has outgrown most of the kidney reflux. There is still slight reflux on one side that the Dr. wants to re-eval in 6 more months. We'll continue with the antibiotics during that time but he's very pleased with the progress she's made in the last 12 months and feels surgery is not needed at this time. We'll do another ultrasound and VCUG in 6 months and hopefully it will be 100% resolved and we can be completely relieved of worrying about the need for surgery. The Dr. did say the next baby has a 30-40% chance of having the same thing so it must be somewhat genetic so we'll have to have #2 checked out early on too. The good news is though, no surgery for now and our little girl is growing well! She tries to put her shoes on herself which is a funny show. She gets real upset though because she can't quite figure it out. As soon as you put her shoes on though, she knows she's going somewhere and walks straight to the door. Wednesday she was throwing a fit to open the door so when I finally did, she strolled right down the driveway and started walking down the sidewalk toward the park. I had to yell to Brian from outside, "I guess we're going to the park" and sure enough, she walked all the way down there with me following close behind. She wanted to play! Quite the independent little girl we have. It's challenging at times but oh so cute. Her vocab is growing fast too! Some of her favorites, "up", "bye", "yeah", "hi", "baby". I'll try to get more pics this weekend. Hope you all are doing well. Lots of love!
