Camping

I decided to be brave and took Mackenzie to the mountains and actually stayed OVERNIGHT! Daddy had to work so it was just us two girls but the Bauer's were kind enough to have us up for the night. Mackenzie had a blast truckin' around with her push toy and since it's the start of elk season, she was decked out in the camo from Grandpa Irek. The guys got a kick out of it. She slept pretty well. I wish I could say I feel rejuvenated, but it's real exhausting keeping up with her to make sure she doesn't fall on thistles or eat too much dirt! Only a little scratch on her upper lip and tip of nose where she bit the dust a little hard but all in all I think she really enjoyed it. By next summer I'm sure she'll be getting into a lot more trouble especially when she tag teams with her buddy, Sam! Also at the end is a picture of her new dresser. She had some left over birthday money that we couldn't decide what to do with. We were given strict instructions that it was to be spent and not put into savings but the girl does not need any more toys! We decided getting her a nice dresser was a good investment. Especially since her wardrobe isn't getting any smaller and her clothes take up more room that those newborn onesies did. It looks real sharp and we did a pretty good job matching her crib color. My little girl is growing up *sniff, sniff*. After her party Friday I packed up all her bottles too. That was a real bittersweet moment. I actually got a little teary eyed. Although, I'm not sure why because they'll be coming back out in just a few months! It's a big milestone though. Ok, enough of my jibber jabberin' and sentiments. Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!

Getting ready to head out

Holding hands on the truck ride up.

We made it!

Just pushing away

Nana, the tennis shoes are getting a good work out!

Dylon is a crawling machine now too and is pulling himself up on things. I can't wait for him to start walking and chasing Mackenzie around.

This will scare the animals away for sure!
