I know...I know...

Ok...so I realize at this point that everyone is getting annoyed that I haven't updated my blog since Halloween. I realized today though why I wasn't so good at updating it. It takes FOREVER to load pictures onto this thing. It took me all during nap just to upload these pictures and now I'm on round 2 getting them posted onto here. At this point, I've decided I'm not organizing them into chronological order. I'm just putting them up here to catch up and I'll try to start fresh from here. So this is life from Jan. 2011 to current. Enjoy!

Addy @ the park. And she loves wearing hats.

Mackenzie's silly face

Mackenzie can climb the rock now with no help.

More of this chocolate cake got on her face than in her mouth.

Two peas in a pod

She insisted on wearing her sister's cowboy boots to the park and they kept falling off when she was swinging. it was making her so mad.

More boot fetishes. It was seriously like 85 degress this day but she insisted on wearing them.

Finally got the boots off- but I had to bargain with the princess shoes.

The penny pony ride @ the grocery store. We've been coming to this store for years and she just finally discovered this horse. It's tucked away by the bathrooms which of course she had to use this day. Well do you think I had a single penny? Wouldn't you know while we were standing in the checkout lane she spots a penny on the floor. She's all excited but all I could think was "oh great!" because there was only 1 penny but two of them and you know how well kids like to share. So I explained they were going to have to share this penny. Mackenzie gets on, puts her penny in and it wouldn't work. She's devastated and I'm just laughing. Karma. It wasn't our penny anyways. I didn't want to ask the clerk to fix it because it wasn't our penny to begin with but after croccadile tears and the works a clerk came by and offered to check if the penny was just jammed. She gave Mackenzie her penny back to try again at which point a 2nd penny rolled out of the machine. I know the clerk saw it on the ground, but he just left it there. Of course Addy spotted it so they both got to ride the pony. This short "jot into the store" to get a few items turned into 75 minutes! Oh, and I forgot to mention...notice how my children are dressed. Sandels, t-shirt, skirt....we got a freak blizzard on the way to the store. you'll see the pictures in this stack. So I'm trying to carry them in 2 inches of wet heavy snow so their feet don't get wet. All this in about 1 mile from our house to the store. Crazy!

Addy posing in her Minnie Mouse outfit.

Brittany and Mackenzie on their "date" to the movie to see Tangled.

Our friend Dylon @ his 3rd birthday party.

Our sweet little friend Marie

And Addy's favorite buddy and Marie big brother, Wyatt.

The gang @ Addy's little 2nd birthday get together.

Miss Paula and baby Sarah

Addy & Marie playing ring around the rosie

This is what was left after a tantrum in the car. how she managed this one I still can't figure out. But these are the same kids that have figured out every child proofing device in our house.

The finished product of Adelynn's birthday cupcakes.

This child makes a mess of everything so we just didn't risk the shirt :)

Not sure how Wyatt managed to stay so clean

partied out

Our new cement sidewalk. no more pulling the lawn mower through the rock to get to the backyard and we have a nice place to keep the trash can again so we can get it out of the garage. Only as a homeowner can you get so excited about something as crazy as this!

Addy before she did a body dive into the wet concrete.

Girls getting ready for their egg hunt at our church.

Getting ready to color Easter eggs.

This picture should be first for the egg coloring. I filled the glasses all up with vinegar and I handed each of the girls one tablet to put into a cup. Addy picked first...yellow...then Mackenzie picked....then I go to let Addy pick her next color. But where was the first one? Oh, she ate it! Thankfully she didn't get it all chewed up before I caught her but here she is showing her yellow tongue. This kid is like a garbage disposal. She'll eat anything!

concentrating so hard

Mackenzie watching very closely that sister doesn't touch her eggs!

Mr. Humpty Dumpty. We only had one fatality so I'd say that was pretty good!

One big happy family

so buzzed out on candy they're like zombie's

Sisterly love...oh and see the food in Adelynn's mouth! lol

Actually being good and coloring. no fighting, it's quiet. I had to capture this moment to remember that it even existed because this is very INFREQUENT in this house.

These next group of pictures are from a "Summer Kick-off" party the girls' old daycare center was having. It's just a couple blocks from our house and the girls were one of the first children that attended when they opened the facility so they're remembered well. We go down there from time to time to say hi and do these fun community activities. Here the girls are making monkey puppets.

All I can say when it comes to this child is thank goodness for WASHABLE markers!

Is Daddy the best person to be teaching them how to fish? lol

She's trying so hard

Who gives little kids a bowl of glue? Seriously?

Here we are having our own craft night. We're cutting out scallop circles. I then wrote numbers on each one. They then punched out littler circles and put the corresponding number of little circles onto the large circle. I hope this helps Mackenzie learn to reckognize numbers in preparation for pre-K this fall.

Look at Adelynn crank that machine! She did a great job.

I can hear you saying "get that hair out of the girls eyes..." but I'm growing her bangs out and they're normally clipped out of her face :)

And she can work a punch too like no body's business!

Ta-da!

The  very next day Adelynn pulled all the little dots off the big circles. I saw all the little dots in a pile on Mackenzie's dresser and I asked her who did that to which she replied (as she has been a lot lately) "Addy did it, Mommy". I can hear Nana right now..."NO! not my little angel." Oh no, not your angel. The face in the picture below doesn't exactly say innocence to me though!

In the background of this picture you can see the bowl the girls and daddy made me for Mother's Day. The girls painted it at a shop and then the ladies glazed it and fired it for them and they got to pick it up a few days later. Mackenzie kept the secret the whole time. She kept telling me she had a secret and I tried a couple times to get it out of her but she kept her lips sealed. I was real impressed!

This last group of pictures is from the start of Memorial Day weekend. We went to America The Beautiful park with the Saving sisters Kari & Camber. Kari is visiting for a couple weeks since moving to NE in December and we've had a blast getting the kids together to play a little. Her sister, Camber, is the mom to Marie & Wyatt who the girls play with often. It's so funny listening to the girls when they know they'll be getting to play with Wyatt and Marie. Adelynn just loves Wyatt and Mackenzie loves helping take care of Marie. I try to tell her Marie isn't a baby but she doesn't care. Poor Marie! lol

Sweet, smiley Marie. I call her Miss Marie but when Adelynn tries to say it, it comes out Misery. lol

The view from the park

Kari's daughter Avery who will be 2 in August. Taking inventory of all her parts.

The kids loved this thing. It was tilted but spun around so they just bear hugged it and spun around for the longest time.

Mackenzie pushing everyone else on it now.

Wyatt

Another funky thing Mackenzie loved. It too was tilted and she could spin herself just leaning forward in it. Funny.

Phew!  Over 'n Out
