Sleep

I woke up this morning at 6am to realize Adelynn again did not get up to eat all night. 2 nights in a row now! Could this be the start of yet another beautiful milestone? I won't hold my breath but I sure enjoyed 8 straight hours of sleep! Papa and Nana are visiting this week for Adelynn's baptism. Mackenzie is of course enjoying all the attention and needs to have Papa by her side all the time. They bought Mackenzie her own size Dora suitcase that she's been pulling around the house stuffed with all her baby dolls. Every few minutes she calls out for Papa to come open it so she can rearrange her babies then has to zip it back up. What a comedian. We went to a Rockies game Thursday that they actually won. We fried our tails off. And yes, we wore sunscreen. I reapplied 30spf every 20-30 minutes and still fried like a lobster. I have the whimpiest skin. I'd say that now I'll have a nice tan but I'm sure it'll just all peel. Friday I went and got my hair cut & highlighted and....drumroll please....got my eye brows waxed. I really like the way it all turned out and feel more like a young woman. I was starting to feel older than I care to admit. Silly kids are giving me gray hair already! It's been a wonderful week so far and can't believe my time off is winding down. Despite some hairy days a long the way I've really enjoyed my time off and am glad I kept Mackenzie home from daycare this last month. Oh, before I forget- she told me the 3 best words last week. I tell Mackenzie I love her so much every day the poor kid will, I'm sure, have issues when she grows up. But last week she said it back to me, "I wuv you". Oh I just melted. Words cannot even describe how wonderful that is to hear. The only thing better is when she tells me she "wuvs" me without me saying anything to her first. My sweet, adorable Mackenzie.
