Another fun weekend

Whew, am I exhausted! Saturday was so beautiful and I was feeling really energized so I decided to take Mackenzie to Garden of the Gods to run off some energy. We stopped at the Main Gift Shop for a map of the trails and happened to stumble on a Mustang car club that was gathering to drive through the GOTG. Got some real neat pics of the cars. Mackenzie really liked the cars and especially waving "bye" to each of them as they drove past. Then when we finally got to the start of the trail we were going to walk, silly me forgot to grab my camera, so the only pictures I got were when we stopped to get the map. Again, not one of my brighter moments. They're becoming a lot more frequent again. We had such a fun time though!

Sunday I was very tired. Unfortunately all the energy from Sat. did not carry over into Sunday. Mackenzie was great in church...probably because we had to make a short stop at the park on the way. Hehe. She wouldn't take a morning nap so I had to make sure she was good and tired. After church she had a nap finally and then we had such fun playing. She's enjoying climbing...some things mommy approved (bean bag chair) and other things not (coffee table). I especially got a kick out of sitting back and watching her grab her container of wipes and put them on the floor to use as a stool to climb onto the table. Part of me wants to stop her before she even starts doing something naughty but then I can't help but watch in disbelief that she'll actually do something she knows is a "no-no" while I'm sitting there watching. And I like to see if she'll actually succeed in her attempt...then I ruin her fun. She was just full of giggles today,though. I'll enjoy it while I can before the next tooth comes in and she's a terror. We also tried on her Halloween costume...got mixed reviews on that one. She didn't like the hat and after battling with her to try and get a good picture with the hat on, she decided she'd had enough and proceeded to just take the whole thing off.
